Our Theme

Rooted in Love

The 2026 theme is “Rooted in Love,” based on Ephesians 3:14-21. In a time where it is difficult to see clearly, find hope, and love well, our firm foundation is the love of Christ which demonstrates for us what it means to be called, rooted, and strengthened through our faith. Join us and other students as we grow to be increasingly rooted in love together!

“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Conference Information

Our conference will have a mix of engaging general sessions, workshops, and activities. Chick-fil-A dinner is included with your ticket.

Registration is for students 7th to 12th grade and their leaders.

Date: Saturday, June 13, 2026
Time: 1:30pm-9:30pm, check in begins at 12:30pm.

Location: Azusa Pacific University, East Campus

Cost: $25

Registration is now open and the last day to register will be Wednesday, June 10, 2026 before midnight. We will need release forms for minors and adults attending the conference.

Noemi Chavez

Lead Pastor, Revive Church, Co-Founder Brave Global

Noemi Chavez is the lead pastor Revive Church in Long Beach where she has served for nearly 20 years. She is passionate about developing leaders and helping communities grow in spiritual health. A wife, mother, communicator, and builder in the Kingdom, Noemi brings a deep commitment to the work of the Church. She serves on the board for Christianity Today and Exponential. She is dedicated to raising leaders and bridging generations for the future of the Church and the communities they serve.

Sean Fenner

Co-Lead Pastor, Light and Life Christian Fellowship

Sean is the Co-Lead Pastor at Light and Life Christian Fellowship in Long Beach. He is a Long Beach native and lives in the Houghton Park neighborhood with his wife Sarah, and his sons Aslan & Caspian. He is gifted as a pastor, discipler, mentor, and speaker with an intense passion to awaken this generation to an authentic relationship with Jesus. Sean is deeply passionate about equipping pastors and leaders as well as discipleship in multi-ethnic ministry, urban spaces, and on campuses. His leadership focuses on community and life transformation to bring about renewal, revival, and restoration.

What is the purpose of the conference?

A one-day conference at APU for high school students, where we focus on God’s call on their lives: κᾰλέω • (kaléō) to call, invite. Students will explore and discover their call – deepening their faith and reflecting on how God leads them in their unique purpose in the world. God’s call impacts students’ daily activities and their big life decisions.

Can adult leaders attend?

Yes, we encourage adult youth leaders to attend and bring their youth to the conference. We will have adult leader specific workshops along workshops they can attend with their youth.

What time does the conference start/end?

Check-in will begin at 12:30pm. Our first general session will begin at 1:30pm sharp. From there, the day will consist of a series of general sessions, workshops, food, and games all leading up until we close our time together at 9:30pm!

Will I need release forms?

What is the Youth Leadership Initiative?

The Youth Leadership Initiative at Azusa Pacific University exists to equip youth to live their calling with a lifelong faith by grounding them in Scripture and resourcing their Christian communities.

What age does a student need to be to participate?

Students 7th grade through 12th grade are invited. This range includes students who will be beginning 7th grade starting in the Summer 2026 and high school students who graduate this Spring/Summer 2026.

Where is the conference location?

Our conference is being hosted on Azusa Pacific University’s east campus. The address is 901 E Alosta Ave, Azusa, CA 91702. Parking is free.

How many workshops are provided?

We have over 10 different workshops for attendees to choose from, which will cover a variety of topics pertaining to our youth and adults. Each specific workshop will be offered three times. Continue to check our website to see additions to our workshop list.
