Faith at Play Conference Keynote Speakers
Angela Scott Lee
Executive Director of Ministries, Christ Church Sierra Madre
Angela Lee is a pastor, leader, and advocate rooted in community and service. Originally from the East Coast, she now lives in Pasadena, California with her husband Paul and their three daughters. With a degree in Human Services from the University of Delaware, Angela has spent over 17 years serving youth and families through organizations such as Communities in Schools, Boys & Girls Club, YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, and Harambee Ministries. She currently serves as Executive Pastor to Ministries at Christ Church Sierra Madre and is pursuing a Master of Theological Studies at Fuller Seminary.
As an Afro-Latina woman, Angela’s passion for justice and reconciliation is deeply shaped by her own story and by her experience raising daughters across multiple cultural identities, which informs her work at the intersection of race, faith, and community.
Judy Mandl
Elementary Assistant Principal, Village Christian School
Judy was born on a Sunday, was in the church nursery the following Sunday, and she’s been there ever since! Not actually in the nursery, but in the community of the local church. Judy has a long history of ministry to women and children in a church setting, and is currently the Assistant Principal at Village Christian Elementary, where she has the privilege of pointing children and their families to Jesus. Married for 47 years to her husband, Rick, Judy enjoys reading and spending time with their daughters and grandchildren.

Ashley Svoboda
Children’s Pastor, ChurchTwo42
Prayground
Ashley has served as the Children’s Pastor at ChurchTwo42 in Rancho Cucamonga, California, since 2017. She brings over 30 years of experience working with children across varying fields, including education and the local church. Before stepping into full-time children’s ministry, she spent 7 years in youth ministry and 18 years as an elementary school teacher. Ashley is deeply passionate about creating environments where children feel loved and can discover who God is and who He created them to be right where they are in their age and stage of life. Her greatest hope is to see children grow into devoted followers of Christ who are rooted in truth and walking confidently with the Lord.

Trevecca Okholm
Writer and Family Ministry Consultant
Storytelling
Trevecca Okholm was professor, practical theology, Azusa Pacific University (now retired). A family ministry consultant, speaker, and trainer/facilitator for worship & wonder models of faith formation. Trevecca has authored two books: Kingdom Family: Re-Envisioning God’s Plan for Marriage and Family (Cascade, 2012), and The Grandparenting Effect:Bridging Generations One Story at a Time (Cascade, 2020); and co-edited Children’s Ministry and the Spiritual Child: Practical Formation-Focused Ministry (ACU, 2023).
